Shipping & Returns

GENERAL INTRODUCTION

Evans of Longton Limited uses two methods of shipping for the delivery of orders purchased through its Evans OnLine internet shop, (1) Royal Mail First and Second Class post for smaller, less weighty items (limited to 1kg for second class post and 1.75kg for first class post) and (2) "NightFreight" a parcel courier service or their agents for all other deliveries.

CHARGING STRUCTURE

Mainland United Kingdom Addresses

Unless an order falls in to one of the Royal Mail postage categories specified above it will attract a standard carriage charge of £10 (£11.75 incl VAT) for any destination address within Mainland United Kingdom except areas which are remote or have specific access issues which will attract a shipping surcharge on and over the standard UK shipping charge of £10 (£11.75 incl VAT) specified above. Courier delivery is normally 1-3 days depending on the destination.

These areas and the surcharge applied are:

Grampian Region of Scotland
Aberdeenshire & Aberdeen City - £17 (£19.55 incl VAT) - total including standard charge £27 (£31.05 incl VAT)

Isle of Wight
Isle of Wight - £17 (£19.55 incl VAT) - total including standard charge £27 (£31.05 incl VAT)

Highlands of Scotland
Angus, Highland and Perthshire & Kinross - £24 (£27.60 incl VAT) - total including standard charge £34 (£39.10 incl VAT)

Off Shore Area Addresses

Northern Ireland and the Channel, Scilly, Western & Scottish Islands (Hebrides, Skye & Mull) are, in the case of courier shipping, subject to their own scale of charges - see under:

Rates Applicable to Northern Ireland Addresses*:
Low Volume Order - £16 (£18.40 incl VAT) up to 20kg
Larger Volume Consignment - £26 (£29.90 incl VAT) up to 15kg and 55p plus VAT per additional kilogram

Rates Applicable to Isle of Man Addresses*:
Low Volume Order - £16 (£18.40 incl VAT) up to 20kg
Larger Volume Consignment - £50 (£57.50 incl VAT) up to 15kg and £1 plus VAT per additional kilogram

Rates Applicable to Channel Island, Scilly Isles, Western & Scottish Islands Addresses*:
Low Volume Order - £16 (£18.40 incl VAT) up to 20kg
Larger Volume Consignment - £62 (£71.30 incl VAT) up to 15kg and £1.25p plus VAT per additional kilogram

(Note *Evans OnLine orders made from these areas of the UK will reflect the "Larger Volume Consignment" shipping rate at checkout up to an order weight limited to 40kg. The actual order shipping costs within these rates shown will be confirmed prior to your order being processed. Any over or undercharge will be adjusted accordingly. This method is in place because of the wide potential variations between "low and high volume orders" and the number of weight variations which our OnLine shop cannot handle on a fully automated basis.)

Next Day Delivery Surcharges

Standard next day delivery is anytime the next day and not guaranteed for a time range. All Mainland United Kingdom delivery addresses (except those in Offshore areas* above) can have enhanced courier delivery services for a surcharge to the shipping charges already outlined above.
These enhancements are:

• Rate 1 - Next day delivery to the "ship to address" before 9.30am weekdays
and before noon Saturday - £35 (£40.25 incl VAT).
• Rate 2 - Next day delivery to the "ship to address" before midday weekdays - £25 (£28.75 incl VAT).

Fluctuating Fuel Charges

Evans of Longton Limited reserve the right to vary shipping charges brought about by changes in fuel costs affecting postal and courier rates supplied by third parties. Where any change is necessary it will be communicated to the customer prior to orders being despatched and the option to cancel offered.

RETURNS & DAMAGES POLICY

Returned Orders

When goods have been correctly supplied as ordered, but upon receipt, are no longer required, the return of same for credit will only be accepted with our prior agreement and providing that the goods in question are unused and in a resaleable condition when received back at our warehouse.

There is a minimum charge of £25 (£28.75 incl VAT) per package deducted from any credit issued to cover outward & return carriage costs along with a 20 per cent handling charge.

Return freight is entirely at the customer's own risk.

Damaged Goods

Damaged goods must be reported to Evans of Longton Limited in writing within 48 hours of delivery. Orders delivered by courier and NOT signed for as damaged will not be valid for a claim. Such reports/damage claims can be emailed to shop@evansport.co.uk.

Non-receipt or Deficiencies of Goods.

Non-receipt or deficiencies of goods must be notified in writing within 10 days of invoice date.
